On Saturday 21st May, the staff at Little Channels were lucky to witness our very own Dannielle, Wedding and Events Manager, tie the knot with her husband, Spencer. After postponing twice due to the pandemic, we were so glad their special day finally happened.
Dannielle and Spencer had a lovely intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast followed by a big party in the evening with a BBQ outside in the flagstone courtyard.
The sun was shining brightly resulting in guests enjoying the wedding garden before and after the ceremony. Dannielle and Spencer hired a saxophone player (Paula Borell) who really set the atmosphere. It was lovely to watch the guests mingle, enjoy a drink, and listen to the music.
As you can imagine, there was a lot of pressure leading up to Dannielle’s and Spencer’s wedding day. Morgan was kindly asked by Dannielle to work front of house, which she was very grateful for. The day ran smoothly, and due to Dannielle’s and Spencer’s laid-back approach, the Little Channels team felt at ease and relaxed.
We asked Dannielle and Spencer questions about their special day…
Why did you choose Little Channels?
We chose Little Channels because having worked there for many years, we knew exactly what to expect. The food is incredible, the staff are amazing, and it was like being at home.
What was your favourite part of the day?
Our favourite part of the day was the evening. Just walking around when our evening guests had arrived and realising how blessed we are to have such amazing friends and family all in one place.
What was your colour theme?
Our colour theme was light blue. We picked our colour over two years ago as our original date was in 2020 and we still loved it.
Where was your honeymoon destination and why?
Our honeymoon was in Mexico. We booked here because we have been on holidays there in the past and absolutely loved it.
What was your first dance song?
Our first dance song was ‘Never gonna be alone’ by Nickleback. It’s not your typical first dance song but that is why we chose it.
Do you have any tips/advice for couples in the process of planning their wedding?
Our advice for the big day is to just enjoy it. Make sure you take time to soak it all up. The day passes so quickly and you’ll be busy, so set aside some time with your partner to take a little walk alone.
