It’s been a strange few months here at Little Channels, with many of our couples having to post-pone their weddings, we’ve come to realise that the future of wedding planning might well be more digital than ever before. So, we’ve decided it’s about time we created a blog. A place we can share our expert advice and tips, in addition to inspiration and offers for married couples to be!
You might have noticed that we’ve done a little re-arranging here at Little Channels over the past few months. We’ve got a brand-new logo, plus a new addition to our name. We’re now known as ‘The Waltham Barns at Little Channels’ giving a clearer message to our wedding clients.
Little Channels is not just a golf club and bistro, we are a wedding and event space like no other in Essex. Let’s talk a little about us and our services…
From ‘Little Channels’ to ‘The Waltham Barns: Alongside the new addition of the wedding garden, we have decided to re-brand Little Channels to The Waltham Barns at Little Channels. We are becoming the premium venue for small and intimate weddings without the need to break the bank. We pride ourselves on being able to offer the best standard of service, no matter how many guests are attending your special day. The re-brand is to mark a fresh start for the venue with more upgrades and additions being added. We are installing air conditioning throughout the Waltham Barn to make sure you and your guests are can keep cool on those warm Summer days.
Weddings at The Waltham Barn: You may have noticed upon enquiring with many other venues, that there is often a minimum number of guests required. The Waltham Barn at Little Channels requires no such commitment. Our stunning barn, and open-air courtyard is ideal for any number of guests up to a maximum of 90 sit down and 150 informal guests in the evening.
The Waltham Barn at Little Channels is also fully licensed to host civil ceremonies for both opposite and same-sex marriages. The ceremony space comfortably seats up to 70 seated guests, and we would recommend no more than these numbers. While our space is intimate, we feel this offers a much more personal experience for both you and your wedding guests. However, if you would require just a few more seats, The Waltham Barn itself can also be used for a larger ceremony of up to 120 guests, usually designed to suit an informal ceremony & BBQ reception.

Dannielle – I have worked for the company for nearly twelve years. I worked at Channels for five years before I was transferred to The Waltham Barns at Little Channels where I am now the Sales Manager and Senior Wedding Co-Ordinator. The favourite part of my job is that it allows me to meet people from all walks of life. I have planned an event for a gentleman that worked in the Queens guard, to a wedding for a couple who were childhood sweethearts that lost contact and then met again half way round the world many years later. I believe that The Waltham Barns at Little Channels is one of the best wedding and events venues in Essex. I am proud to say that I have booked my own wedding here and cannot wait as I know the food will be exceptional and staff are so friendly.
Rosie – I started working for The Waltham Barns at Little Channels through my Granddad, who is a long term member. Since working at The Waltham Barns, I have learnt a lot and grown as a person. By working with such a strong minded group of people, I have learnt how to overcome different challenges required when working and how to present professionalism in any given situation. It is a pleasure being part of such a hard working team of people that are always their to guide you but also there as friends.
Emma – I have been part of the The Waltham Barns at Little Channels team since 2007, gaining experience in a variety of roles. This has therefore given me extensive knowledge of Little Channels and what services we provide. I work with a great team to ensure your unique day is perfect and truly memorable. I also have a large involvement with The Waltham Bistro. I have great pleasure in meeting new people that visit us and also have a great enjoyment in seeing our regular customers.
Jason – Having grown up playing golf at Little Channels, it will always be a special place for me with many happy memories. I have now been an employee coming on 7 years; I started out as a barman and waiter until I proudly became In-House Manager 2 years ago. I am very passionate about the job we do and strongly believe we are one of the best wedding and event venues in Essex, unique in our versatility and intimate spaces. The best part of the job is without a doubt working with people – building good customer relationships and helping to create memorable occasions. Our aim is for The Waltham Barns at Little Channels to be associated with happy memories and for our guests to reminisce about the happy occasions that brought them to us for years to come.
We have made great strides over the last few years and look forward to seeing what the future brings!
